Pre-review: Igloofest 2014
I’m super pumped for tonight! I’m going to an event called Igloofest down in the old port of Montreal and I’ve only heard good things about it.
I expect there will be some talks about basic igloo construction, and I have my fingers crossed that Mr. Peter Tsonge will give us a peak into his expertise with respect to igloo architecture and design. Although never actually having any interest in Igloos (despite being Canadian), I've been doing some research in anticipation of the event tonight and I have to say it’s actually quite interesting. If I can get my igloo building skills to a decent level I know for sure that I will never be truly homeless.
I’ll give you guys a better idea of the event once all is said and done, talk to you soon!
Review: Igloofest 2014
My head hurts. My vision is blurry at best. There are three people in my apartment none of whom I’ve ever met. And I’m pretty sure my left eardrum has left me for better pastures.
As I sit here and write this, my coffee machine cannot work fast enough. I’m watching it drip slowly, drop by drop straight into my cup as this coffee is the only cure I can think of to what feels like a beating that my body was not expecting. F*ck it, half a cup will do for now!
Alright, as my next cup brews I’ll talk about Igloofest:
So, unfortunately I’m still not sure exactly what this festival is as my memory seems to have left me (maybe he and my eardrum are still enjoying themselves on the banks of Old Montreal), but I can definitely say no Igloos where involved and Mr. Peter Tsonge is in no way an expert on igloo design.
My dream of always having a roof over my head is no longer as secure as I thought it would be this morning, however my last memory is of me building a small snow fort late in the night. Judging by how my body feels right now there is only 50% chance that the white powdery substance I was building a fort with was actually snow….
